Grammy award-winning Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, otherwise known as Burna Boy, has become the first artist to accumulate a billion streams on the digital music streaming platform, Boomplay.
The self professed ‘African Giant’ had attained the feat shortly after the release of his ‘controversial’ seventh studio album, “I Told Them.”

Looking through the Nigerian artiste’s Boomplay account, one can easily see that the singer has gotten more than a billion streams on the platform.
Boomplay is presently, the biggest digital music streaming platform in Africa. It was established in 2015.
Burna Boy is additionally, the most followed artist on the platform with more than 600,000 followers.
The “Last Last” crooner is the first Nigerian artist to reach this feat, surpassing 1 billion career streams on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack and Boomplay respectively.
